Pregnant Woman Gives Birth In Her Mum’s Hot Tub And Says It Was ‘Dream Birth

Chloe-Elizabeth Elliott, 19, from Pontefract, Yorkshire, gave birth to her healthy baby girl Elizabeth-Hope, at home with her mum, Elizabeth, 38, right by her side.

The pregnancy was initially deemed high-risk as she had crippling chronic endometriosis and polycystic ovaries.

But after being checked at 30 weeks, medics said she was low-risk, so she opted for a home birth, which she did without any mediation as she has a “high pain threshold”.

Unsure of whether she’d be able to have any more children, the 19-year-old said she wanted to have her ‘dream birth’ – in case she never gets the chance to experience it again.

She explained, saying: “My mum thought I was insane, she was expecting to need to ring an ambulance, but she never needed to, I didn’t even cry out once!

“All I was doing was blowing the water. I’m used to this kind of pain from my illness, so I was mentally preparing for the contractions already.

“I’m so happy I was able to have this kind of birth because I knew I was a high-risk, and I knew there was a chance I wouldn’t have the baby at end of it.”

Chloe-Elizabeth went on to say she thought she would “never be able to have a baby“, but after giving birth has been feeling so elated and happy.

“It was a really peaceful and relaxing birth, and my pregnancy was fine too. I enjoyed every minute of it.

“Giving birth at home made me feel a lot more relaxed.

“I am terrified of hospitals as I have experienced a lot of medical trauma so this was the best experience ever.

“Elizabeth-Hope is an amazing baby, she is growing up to be so smart and we’re so close, just like me and my mum are.”
