Humans have two heads! This doesn’t just exist in movies. Humans live and breathe exist on our planet. It’s not common, but it happens. How? You ask. Do not worry. We’ve got you covered because today we’re going to look at the two-headed human race. These are conjoined twins.
Although born with conjoined bodies, many twins in the world are still living healthy lives, even famous and married like normal people.
1. Giacomo and Giovanni Battista:
According to the Phoenix New Times, the Italian twins were born in 1877, conjoined at the waist, and share the same abdomen, pelvis and legs. The two brothers were studied and traveled throughout the United States and Europe under the name “Boy with Two Heads”.
Using the same foot, Giacomo and Giovanni never control their movements, as one uses the left foot, the other uses the right foot. Therefore, their life is always attached to a wheelchair. 2 brothers retired after 20 years of operation, married and lived in seclusion in Italy.
2. Ladan and Laleh Bijani
Iranian twins conjoined at the head were born in 1979. The two have very different personalities and often struggle over what they want out of life. One wants to study law, the other wants to study journalism. One is very open-minded, while the other is very shy. As children, Ladan and Laleh wanted to be separated, but the doctors refused the surgery because it was too dangerous.
In 2002, the two still decided to ask a Singaporean neurosurgeon to fulfill their wish. More than 28 surgeons and 100 staff members performed the operation. However, due to complications and excessive blood loss, two people unfortunately died after 2 hours of surgery.
3. Lori and George Schappell
Born in 1961, the American twins share 30% of their brains, mostly in the frontal lobes. They grew up in a charity, but became independent at the age of 20. In 2006, George (originally Dori) switched to male, and used the name George.
4. Krista và Tatiana Hogan

Studies also get 2 people able to experience what the other sees. Despite many health and related problems, the couple was born active and regularly appeared on the show’s specials.
5. Daisy and Violet Hilton
The Hilton twins were born in 1908 in England. Their mother worked in a bar, and sold conjoined twins at the pelvis and hips to her boss. Talented in clarinet, saxophone, singing and dancing, Daisy and Violet toured the world before being freed in 1931. In 1969, the twins died of influenza.
6. Abby and Brittany Hensel
Twins born in 1990 in the US, have two hearts, two sets of lungs, two brains, but the whole body is connected. At birth, both the parents and the medical team thought the twins weren’t off the hook.
For unlucky twins who suffer from a rare disease after birth, their life has never been as smooth as others. However, some people still find joy and meaning in their lives.
