Class Xerion 5000 & Gregoire Besson 16 Furrow Plowging

The Claas Xerion 5000 is an agricultural tractor made in Harsewinkel, North Rhine-Westphalia, Gᴇʀᴍᴀɴʏ. It was first shown at Agritechnica in 2009 and has been on the market since 2011. It is the world’s most powerful continuously variable transmission tractor, as well as the most powerful approved tractor on the road. The Xerion 5000 has a large tractor configuration, with a Mercedes-Benz OM 471 LA diesel engine with six cylinders and a displacement of 12.8 L that produces 530 hp. It has the 4-wheel drive of equal size (tires up to 2.16 m high) and steering, as do all Xerion models, allowing for excellent maneuverability. Trac (fixed cabin in the middle) and Trac VC (reversible cabin) are the two versions available.

Perkins’ 6-cylinder in-line engines meet Tier 3 (Stage IIIA) emissions standards. They provide a wealth of impressive benefits in addition to very sophisticated technology: Even at low engine speeds, there is a lot of torque. Over a wide range of engine speeds, torque remains constant. The 12.5-liter engine with charge-air cooling is known for its durability and is easily accessible thanks to the one-piece bonnet.

By pressing a button in the cab, the hydraulic reversible fan allows the radiator elements to be cleaned at any moment. Single wheels (four wheels) or dual wheels (eight wheels) can be used with the two steering axles (TRAC and TRAC VC). To fit dual wheels, one-piece or two-piece spacers can be bolted in place. The two-piece spacers have the advantage of providing a transport width of 3.0 m with 710 tires when the dual wheels are removed.

Exceptional visibility – large windows provide a perfect all-around view. A superior, ergonomically designed workplace. You have complete control. CEBIS optimizes the settings to ensure that this power is fully utilized. The unique CMOTION multifunction control lever allows for intuitive 3-finger use. The XERION is particularly impressive in terms of its low-maintenance requirements. Transmission, hydraulic, and axle oils, for example, have a 1,500-hour service interval. When maintenance is required, it can be completed quickly and easily. The engine oil filter is located within the full-frame for easy access.
